Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! It’s Kelly here to share a photo frame I designed for this special occasion.
I designed this “Jar of Hearts” on the left side of the frame using 3D Foam Hearts.
I also heat embossed and layered two 3D Foam Hearts to create this cute element:
That sparkly frame around the photo is made by applying glitter to Crafty Power Tape. I adhered the jar and heart embellishments to the frame using 3D Foam Squares and Dodz Medium.
Here is a step-by-step photo tutorial on how I created the Jar of Hearts.
I used the following supplies: 3D Foam Hearts, white wire, pink pigment ink and embossing powder.
First, I placed the end of the wire in the centre of the sticky side of one 3D Foam Heart:
Next I layered a second 3D Foam Heart directly on top, to sandwich the wire between.
I removed the backing to expose the sticky sides of both hearts.
I dipped the double 3D Foam Heart into my container of pink embossing powder:
Then I heated the embossing powder to set it.
I wanted to add a couple more layers of embossing powder to get a glossy finish so I pressed the cooled 3D Foam Heart into the pink pigment ink pad.
I also inked the edges of the foam hearts and covered them with embossing powder.
Another dip into the embossing powder and another blast from the heat gun, and the 3D Foam Heart looks glossy and pretty, almost like a candy heart!
You could even use these as cupcake toppers too! Because Valentine’s Day is all about candy, cupcakes and chocolate, right?
I hope you enjoy a wonderful day with your loved ones!
Happy Crafting!
