Hi, Lara here today! This is my first project for the team. I wanted to share this Luck o’ the Irish Gift Tag for St. Patrick’s Day with a little bit of my hand lettering thrown in for a little extra luck! I am part Irish on my mother’s side of the family so St. Patrick’s Day was always celebrated in our home. We always had to wear green (except my mom who has green eyes) and had the whole Irish meal of boiled potatoes, cabbage, and corned beef brisket.
Luck o’ the Irish Gift Tag Card
Cut a 6.25″ tall x 6″ wide tag base, fold it in half, and then trim off the two corners. Then cut the front so it forms a gift tag that is also a card. Next, add a piece of 2.75 x 5.5″ green cardstock and adhere it with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Layer a piece of 2.25 x 5″ gold glitter paper and a piece of 2 x 4.75″ white cardstock. The tag card base is done.
The Finishing Details
I dug into my rather extensive collection of black pens and wrote of Luck o’ the Irish. If you aren’t comfortable with your handwriting, just pencil it in, use stamps, or even print it out on the computer.
Cut off the button shanks off. I have loved Buttons Galore products since I was first introduced to them more than a decade ago and these glitter ones are fabulous! Sorry, I am sort of like a ferret since I like shiny things.
To adhere the buttons, I used the Adhesive Dots 3D and shaped them to tuck behind the buttons. I punch a hole on top of the tag and thread through some green embroidery floss and white seam binding ribbon to complete the tag.
Thanks for visiting and I wish you the Luck o’ the Irish!
